WARNER BROS. DISCOVERY ANNOUNCES NEW DOCUMENTARY ABOUT SUSTAINABLE FOREST MANAGEMENT
Today Warner Bros. Discovery announced the production of a new documentary addressing sustainable forest management in Brazil, highlighting innovative practices and direct impacts on the environment and people's lives. The documentary, a partnership between WBD, producer Casa Redonda, and the Brazilian Tree Industry (Ibá), seeks to deepen discussions around climate change, an increasingly urgent and relevant topic on the global scene.
WBD will be responsible for distribution, using its robust media and entertainment ecosystem that ranges from linear to digital channels. The documentary (which does not yet have a title) will be shown on Max, the group's streaming platform, and the Discovery Channel; a release date has not yet been set.
Along with Ibá, 15 other brands from forest-based industry support the project: BO Paper, Bracell, CMPC, Eldorado, Ibema, Irani, Klabin, Norflor, Papirus, RMS, Suzano, TTG, Unilin, Veracel and Smurfit Westrock. As global debate about the climate crisis expands, this documentary will offer a new and thought-provoking perspective, addressing the topic in advance of the COP30 conference which will be held in Brazil in 2025, in Belém, Pará.
