IBÁ - Brazilian Tree Industry - deeply regrets the untimely passing of Sylvain Lhôte, General Manager of CEPI-Confederation of European Paper Industries, as informed last Friday (07) in Brussels, Belgium. Around one month ago, at the beginning of May, Sylvain had been elected, unanimously, as the new Chairman of ICFPA-International Council of Forest and Paper Associations, during the global entity´s annual meeting, held in Vancouver, Canada.
IBÁ´s Executive President, Paulo Hartung, as well as the Institutional Director, Ambassador José Carlos da Fonseca, are sad to express, on behalf of the whole sector in Brazil, their deepfelt condolences, addressed to family members, friends and colleagues of the late leader of Europe´s forest, paper and pulp sector.
