Charter of Principles

Created: 17 April 2015

On March 31st 2015, the Brazilian Tree Industry launched its Charter of Principles. The document is designed to encourage companies from the planted tree industry to adopt and promote initiatives and practices that legitimize the sustainability attributes of the industry and its commitment to a greener economy.

The text gathers principles of ethics, governance, corporate responsibility and best practices that, in the opinion of Ibá member companies, should be common to the many segments within the planted tree production chain.

The Charter of Principles is a result of contributions from the Forestry Steering Council and Ibá’s Sustainability and Legal Committees, supported by the association’s Communications team.
