Ibá and Abigraf transform São Paulo Metro stations into ‘living libraries’ on World Book Day |
On April 23rd, in celebration of World Book Day, Ibá and Abigraf (Brazilian Association of the Graphic Industry), in partnership with the São Paulo Metro, held the 5th edition of the #CirculeUmLivro (Circle a Book) project. The initiative proposes a donation and exchange dynamic: passengers leave a book at the action’s totems, taking another title in its place, or simply pick up a copy of their choice. The activity aims to stimulate reading and the circular economy, reinforcing the sustainability of paper, a material produced from cultivated trees.
While the book totems were distributed throughout the Sé, Luz, Consolação, and Vila Prudente stations, the Tatuapé station, in addition to hosting the exchange point, also served as the cultural heart of the 2026 edition, offering a free program for diverse audiences, such as storytelling, music, autograph sessions, and a comic book workshop with Paulo Moreira.
Paulo Hartung, president of Ibá; João Scortecci, president of Abigraf São Paulo; and Julião Gaúna, president of Abigraf Nacional, attended the event and had the opportunity to get to know the participants better.
In addition to the capital of São Paulo, regional partners APRE and ABAF carried out the action in Curitiba (PR) and Salvador (BA) with various cultural activities.

One year after the laying of the foundation stone for the Sucuriú Project: construction reaches 54% completion and mobilizes 11,000 workers in Inocência (MS) |
One year after the laying of the foundation stone for the Sucuriú Project, by the Chilean multinational Arauco, the scenario in Inocência is one of accelerated transformation. With 54% of the work completed and approximately 11,000 workers directly involved in the construction site, the project is already consolidating itself as one of the largest industrial projects underway in the world.
With an estimated investment of R$ 25 billion, the future factory will be the largest pulp mill on the planet, with the capacity to produce 3.5 million tons per year. Operations are expected to begin at the end of 2027, positioning Mato Grosso do Sul as a global leader in the sector.
In addition to the construction of the factory, Arauco is also investing heavily in logistics. One of the main projects is the construction of a private railway branch line of 47 to 54 kilometers, which will connect the industrial plant to Rumo’s Northern Network. Valued at R$2.4 billion, the system will allow the flow of production to the Port of Santos, where a specific terminal for pulp will be built. The rail operation should reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 94%.
Another highlight is the construction of Vila Arauco, a modern housing complex that will feature 620 high-standard homes in Inocência. With sizes ranging from 115 m² to 215 m², the properties are being planned to offer comfort, infrastructure, and quality of life to the employees who will work at the factory.

Bracell Presents progress on 2030 Agenda Goals in new Sustainability Report |
Bracell has launched its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting progress on its ESG agenda, with significant results in climate, biodiversity, social impact, and operational efficiency. Key highlights include the protection of native vegetation, the removal of tons of CO₂ from the atmosphere, social investments, and progress on the goals of the Bracell 2030 agenda. The document reinforces how the company consolidates sustainability as a central axis of its business, even in a challenging global scenario.
Among the most relevant milestones is the progress in the One-for-One Commitment, an initiative through which the company supports the conservation of one hectare of native forest for every hectare of eucalyptus planted. By 2025, Bracell will have contributed to the protection of 301,000 hectares of native vegetation, revealing the achievement of the established goal ahead of schedule (100%) and reinforcing its role in preserving biodiversity. Furthermore, the company has evolved in nature-based solutions, using natural enemies for biological control in eucalyptus forests, which has already reduced the application of chemical pesticides by 80%.

Eldorado Brasil Celulose registers record production and advances on ESG agenda |
Eldorado Brasil Celulose ended 2025 consolidating a significant movement in its trajectory: it combined record operational performance with the consistent evolution of its ESG agenda, reinforcing the fundamentals that support long-term competitiveness. The results are part of the new edition of the company’s Sustainability Report, which highlights strategic milestones such as the consolidation of full control by the J&F group and the record production of 1.788 million tons of pulp, achieved even in a year with a general maintenance shutdown, a clear indicator of industrial efficiency and operational discipline.
In the environmental area, Eldorado advanced on one of the sector’s most critical agendas: waste management. The company began construction of its new Waste Management Center, scheduled to begin operations in 2026, structuring a model capable of transforming 100% of industrial waste into agricultural inputs, with a Zero Landfill goal. This is a move that repositions the operation within the most advanced principles of the circular economy. Climate management has also been strengthened. The report presents a Climate Risk Matrix with projections for 2030 and 2050, connecting environmental impacts to the financial valuation of the business, an approach aligned with international standards such as IFRS and the European CSRD directive. The company also updated its Materiality Matrix, refining ESG priorities in light of market demands and stakeholder requirements. Another highlight is the commitment to achieve, by the end of 2026, that all the wood used in its operation comes from certified sources, reinforcing the traceability and sustainability of the production chain. In the field of governance, the company has expanded its adherence to integrity practices, joining the Brazil Pact for Corporate Integrity, from the CGU (Brazilian Comptroller General’s Office), and the Pact for Sustainability.
